About Me

Velocity Shoot Photography is a veteran owned and operated business located in Fayetteville, NC, serving the surrounding area. I have a small home-based studio that will accommodate any indoor session that you have in mind, however I prefer and thrive in the natural light of an on-sight location and am willing to travel to get a better backdrop. If you prefer to stay local, we are in an area that has breathtaking scenery to showcase you and your family. I am a lifestyle-based photographer, who loves to capture the small moments of your life, the moments that showcase this journey and capture a glimpse of it for you to cherish for years to come. I photograph everything from families & newborns to sports and children and even those intimate sessions, you always thought about doing but have never quite taken the step todo. To put it lightly I do it all and everything in between.

But enough about what I do…let’s talk about who I am. I am a semi-professional photographer, but then again you already know that. What you may not know, and more importantly I am a father. I am a husband. And I am a friend. I have a beard, a couple tattoos, a passion for cooking, a minor case of insomnia and an obsession for cameras. A photographer can never have enough cameras and I am no different!

I've read a lot of other photographer’s bio's trying to figure out what to write here about myself. How to make myself stand out. I believe I stand out for 2 reasons. First, the quality of my work. I invite you to look at the galleries throughout my website and judge that for yourself. But secondly, I believe in running a client-friendly, service-oriented business. Great creativity is often best achieved as the results of a team effort, and I want to be your teammate in capturing your special moments. I started my love for photography in my junior year of high school when I took my first photography class. And that love affair would continue, through college, and my time in the United States Marine Corps and culminate when my son was born. Rarely would you find me without my camera in hand. Like most first time parents I wanted to freeze him and those moments in time.  It was in 2014 that I realized I could help others freeze those special moments in time and decided to start my career as a semi- professional. Since then, I have spent my time honing my skills and I continue to push myself to learn new things every day.

I truly believe in that saying, “Do what you love, love what you do.” I know I will never be able to express the joy of capturing those special moments, those brief snapshots in time, of your family. Whether it’s laughing with you as we try out different poses, joking and making silly faces at the kids during your family shoot to get a natural smile or talking to a newly married couple about their hopes for the future, I strive to capture the happiness, emotion and love that you can look back on and remember in the years to come. I want to help you memorialize this journey.  It is what I do…but more importantly it is what I love.
